This field has been in my family for 132 years. It is part of the family farm started by my Great-Great Grandparents when they came over from Czechoslovakia. The sunflower crop is a new venture. :o) Isn't it beautiful? I wanted to take so many more pictures, but it was raining off and on and I feared damaging my camera. Too bad the sun wasn't out, all the sunflowers were napping in the rain. Just think how even more cheery they would have looked all perked up in the sunshine!

Aww thanks, I actually thought of you, Sacramento, when I saw those sunflowers. :o)
DeleteBeautiful! I absolutely love sunflowers. And how cool is that your family owns that field?

They really are a cool flower! I'm thinking I want to try growing some of my own. :o)
DeleteAMAZING SUNFLOWERS, JJ! My goodness. Those flowers are bigger than your face! Happy post, I appreciate it. Yes, 2 more chemos! Yes.
ReplyDeleteHehe, I should have held one in front of my face. :o)
DeleteLove your tied top. Weird fact about me, I'm terrified of live sunflowers. When they're picked or maybe even fake it's not so bad. I don't know why. I've been that way since I was a little girl.
ReplyDeleteMaybe because they're GIANTS? :o)
DeleteThat is such a cute outfit! I have never seen sunflowers so big, I guess I need to leave the city more!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, love it.
