A Whole Lota...

Hat: Vintage
Beaded Collar: Vintage
Multi-colored bead necklace: Made by my Sister
Yellow stretch bracelets: Burk's Outlet
Fabric Cuff: DIY
Corsages: Made by my Son (for past Mother's Days)
Orange Calf Hair belt: Antique Shop
Zebra Blouse: Bealls
Dress: Ross
Bramin Purse: Gift from Hubby
Heels: Vintage

...Hair.  I had fun teasing my hair bigger than ever!  Hubby said, "Your hair looks pretty...BIG, but pretty!" :o)

...Color.   I haven't been reaching for this dress due to its lack of color.  Well I sure tipped the scales to the opposite of blah after adding ALL my accessories. :o)

...Collars.  I have triple collars going on in this outfit!

...Fun.  How can you not have fun all dressed up in beautiful colors?  This was my Mother's Day outfit (better late than never on posting, right?).   I was a little disappointed I couldn't find the third corsage my Son had made for me.  Oh well, two corsages are better than one, I mean none. :o)

The Wobble

Sunglasses: Ebay
Vintage Hawaiian Top: Thrifted

We went camping last week.  Had.A.Blast.

So, this is what happens when you search for sunglasses on ebay after watching The Wobble Video  multiple times! :o)  The tinted lens on these babies flip up to reveal clear lens!  I wish I had a photo to share, but it's lucky I even have this.  The person manning the camera doesn't get to be in the photos as much.  I'm pretty decent at using the timer, but I love not-posed photos the most.

PS:  Stay tuned this summer to see what happens when I "Push the Cray Button".  :o)

Wedding Dresses

My Niece got married last Saturday.  She asked me to alter her Vintage Wedding Dress!  I was so excited to work on it!!!  I got into the spirit of it and also altered a Vintage dress of my own to wear on the Special Day.  All I had to do to my dress was chop the long sleeves off and swap the fabric belt for my big leather one.  THE Wedding dress was a bit more involved.  I have never done so much hand sewing!  My mom was right there with me hand stitching on lace. :o)  I also made the veil with a bit of the leftover lace and new matching tulle.  This was all done in a week!  I would've done more if there had been a little more time, but I was scurrying to finish as it was...I even made her wear an unlined (aka: scratchy) petticoat I sewed up in a mad dash. :o)  Funny finishing touch, when she was getting ready one of the metal boning pieces poked through the casing (vintage remember), so I "fixed" the end of the casing with DUCK TAPE!!! :o)  What a great story, right?  I can just hear her telling her future daughter about it.  The morning of the Wedding I got up early and whipped up a couple of Ties for my boys, 'cause I could ya know! :o)
