Vintage Mint Necklace: Roadside Flea Market
Blue Multi-strand bracelet, White Ceramic Watch: TJMaxx (Bracelet was a gift from Hubby)
Stud Bracelet: Burke's Outlet
Blouse: JCPenny
Butterfly Maxi: Refashioned from a Vintage Dress
Is anyone counting how many times I've worn my stud bracelet in a row? I almost didn't buy it, thinking it wouldn't get worn very often. Wrong!
So this skirt was a vintage dress I thrifted a couple of weeks ago. It had a high (choking) neck and loooong sleeves. I really wish I had taken a before picture! Please accept my sincere apologies for neglecting to do so.
I paired this top with my skirt simply because I like Orange and Turquoise together. It doesn't really match, but it sure does compliment! I thought about throwing in some more Orange with jewelry, but when I tried it, it took away from that POP I was loving. I did wear Orange lipstick though. :o)
It's too bad you can't see my shoes. I wore my Vintage Hunter Green Snakeskin heels. They were perfect, just perfect with this skirt.
After church, I switched to a Turquoise tank top with Orange writing across it. I still had my original colors going on, but was super comfortable for my baby's birthday party. Rocket turned 2! I guess he's not a baby, but he will always be Mama's Baby!

PS: Thought you might like to see the Birthday Boy. :o)
I super love this outfit on you! I am wanting to make a top in this style, I just found the perfect fabric for it last night at a thrift store.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see it!
DeleteAnd the flowers just complete you...not to mention the pinwheel! Orange and turquoise look terrific together as do the print mix. Very nice, very nice indeed. Oh, and the birthday boy with his rocket cake in orange too! Marvelous.
ReplyDeleteIn case you haven't guessed, Orange is my favorite color and I have heavily influenced my boys to love it too. :o)
DeleteYou make my heart melt with that maxi skirt.

Caliente is just what I like, so THANKS! :o)
DeleteYou know what I am just seeing, is your fun shirt. I had a shirt like that before and I can't recall the 'name of the design' like window pane but not that. Oh well, it is fun to see. Thanks for your fun support regarding my fuzzy head. It is really annoying me but heck, it's temporary right? ♥
ReplyDeleteIt is kinda like a window pane print on the diagonal I suppose. Shall we just name it that? Or perhaps Diamond Window Pane? :o)
DeleteYou had me at butterflies! Love the skirt and it looks awesomely awesome with the top. Happy 2nd Birthday...could he be any cuter?!

Yes, butterflies...they're the best! :o) And no, I don't see how he could be any cuter! :o)
DeleteHappy birthday to your baby! Awesome cake, btw. And I love orange and turquoise together as well. Is there any color that looks bad with turquoise? Maybe green? Or not?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love making cakes for my family, for other people...not so much. :o) Hmm, now you have me thinking and as far as I know Turquoise looks good with any color!
DeleteNicely done! I love the combination of colors. The green beads with the orange. Love!
