It Was a Happy Thanksgiving at the Farm

Leaf Crown: DIY
Red Beads: Great Grandmother's
Gold Hoops: Gift from Hubby
Watch: TJMaxx
Blouse: Self Made (New Look 6808)
Duck Cardigan: Thrifted
Jeans: Gift from Hubby
Loafers: Thrifted

It was a wonderful day spent at the family farm celebrating Thanksgiving with lots and lots of family, good food, and fun!

I made the teepee for my boys with the intention of letting the cousins paint designs on it.  The painting didn't happen...now we have something fun to do next rainy day. :o)

What did happen at the farm?  Tractor rides, horse rides, jumping on hay bales, a 500 piece puzzle was put together minus one piece (we think we lost it in the campfire), and lots of eating, drinking, and visiting around the fire.

The last photo is the view out back of the farm house.  A few years ago Grandpa placed the statue of Jesus looking across the fields.  Isn't it peaceful?  (The statue is taller than me, even without its platform.)

Still feeling Thankful,
JJ

  1. Yay! There's the tunic with jeans, I like it! I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! Something about losing that piece in the fire made me chuckle, I don't know how many puzzles I've held onto because I feel like the missing piece is sure to show up somewhere. If it's incinerated you don't ever have to wonder. :D

    1. We have also lost a puzzle piece in the lake. You'd think we'd stick to doing our big puzzles in "safe" places, but nah! :o)

  3. Great DIY teepee! I have a leaf crown too but it's way too big to wear as a simple accessory. I went as Autumn for Halloween a few years ago so it's really more of a headdress. :)

    1. Ooooh, and Autumn headdress...sounds wonderful!!! And thanks! We are lovin' the teepee! I just finished setting it up in the kids play area and my 2 year old promptly got in and "read" a book. :o) I need to pick up some Christmas lights to string in/around it next time I'm at the store.
