So if you looked to see where I bought my dress you learned it's a kid's dress!!!! It was hanging with the ladies dresses at the thrift shop so I held it up and said, "That looks like it should fit," without even glancing at the size. Well it did fit, so sure, I'll wear a kid's dress any day! :o) They get the best prints anyways.
Cute story:
An elderly man at church called Hubby over and told him he might want to "check his wife's slip." Hubby told him he thought it was meant to show a little bit. :o) But wasn't that the sweetest most gentlemanly thing of him to do?
If you're wondering about the tape on my wrists, it seems to help the tendonitis I'm still dealing with from way back in the Spring. Every time I get close to getting it healed up, I do something strenuous and aggravate it all over again. So I started buying pretty colored athletic tape and making it part of my outfits. :o)
My little 2 year old took the last photo. Yeah, I'm a super proud mama!

I love the spin--sometimes in a fast paced world, we don't do the pretty girl spin often enough--good reminder for me. Beautiful dress and petticoat.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin, I just can't resist spinning in a full skirt/dress. :o)
DeleteYour 2 year old took that photo? The look on your face is so sweet I can tell you adore the person behind the camera.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great sense of your own style which really shows in your dresses
and cute accessories.
Yes, I adore him! :o) Thanks for the great compliments Joni!!!
DeleteI love the spin too. And I want to know more about the petticoat you made. Do show and tell how it was done. I thought you had on fingerless gloves at first glance. Nothing stops you from stylin' so pretty.
ReplyDeleteFingerless gloves...I might slip some on next Sunday if I still have to wear the tape. Thanks for that idea Pao!
DeleteThe petticoat is made from narrow rolls of tulle/lace joined and hemmed with grosgrain ribbon. I want to add another layer to it, so maybe I can take some pictures during the process and do a petticoat post...it might take a while though, I'm trying to get my house ready to move into. :o)
That dress is beyond fabulous and the fruit print just perfect, fancy where you found it, wowwwwwwww

Deleteadorable dress!!! That's so sweet of that gentleman to look out for your undergarments! LOL! My mom told me when she was growing up the term to use to tell a woman her slip was showing was "it's snowing down south".
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute expression! :o)
DeleteThat is the sweetest dress! And the petticoat?! Are you kidding?! I LOVE this!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gracey. :o)

You are so very welcome dear Sacramento!!!
DeleteI love this dress on you....just the sweetest! I had to giggle at the gentleman's comment about your slip. I've had the same thing happen at church, someone thought my dress button had popped open and was showing my slip, when I was wearing it like that on purpose! Xx
ReplyDeleteIt was nice of them to tell you...I've gotten home to find out I had a wardrobe malfunction going on and everyone had let me walk around like that the whole time! :o)
DeleteOh, this dress is lovely!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathleen!
