What I Wore in May: Part 3

Pearls and Opals: Gifts from Hubby
Pink Pearl Bracelet: Gift from a Friend
Paris Tee: Ross
Skirt: Self Made
Zebra Wedges: Dillard's (clearance)

In the middle of our wedding preparations for my sister, we got to take a break and attend my cousin's wedding.  I have had this fabric waiting to be made into a skirt since January.  I was determined to find time to sew it up and wear to their wedding, so on the evening before I started sewing furiously!  I finished at 2am with a little bit of hand stitching to do on the waistband in the car.  We had a 4 hour drive, so I used that to my advantage. :o)

What I Wore in May: Part 2

Red Beads: Grandmother's
Pearls: Gifts from Hubby
Vintage Blouse: Thrifted
Belt: Local
Skirt: Self Made
Zebra Wedges: Dillard's (clearance)
Purse: Gift from Hubby

This is what I wore to church on Memorial Weekend.  I have a beautiful vintage Red, White, and Blue dress that I wanted to wear, but I stuck to Me Made May.  It worked, someone commented that I was wearing Yellow for Remembrance.

When we got home to take photos, I was drawn right into the Yellow Black-Eyed-Susans.  It's like they were a magnet to my skirt, pulling me in. :o)

What I Wore in May: Part 1

Pearls: Gifts from Hubby
Top: TJMaxx
Palazzo Pants: Self Made
Vintage Heels: Gift from Sister

May was a blurrrr of wedding sewing for me!  I was finishing up my sister's wedding dress, and four bridesmaid dresses, and three bowties!  I loved every minute (hour) of it, but didn't get much else done.  Add in end of school year events, a cousin's wedding, and a bachelorette party and there's your excuse for only one post the entire month.

This was my first year to participate in Me Made May!  I loved it!  I kept up with daily outfits via Instagram and will do a round up in Part 4.

It's good to be back. :o)

Orange and Blue Floral Dress for Me Made May

Sapphire set: Gifts from Hubby
Dress: Self Made
Shoes: DSW

I've been having a blast participating in Me Made May this year!  I'll do an Instagram roundup post later of my OOTDs.

I made this dress for Easter 2010.  I haven't worn it since Fall 2011.  Not because I didn't want to, I just had baby weight to get rid of .  Yay, it fits again! :o)  I had so missed this collar!  I remember flipping through the pattern book, locking eyes on that collar and just had to have it.  I think it was even featured in this very fabric.  Not much for originality that year, but I LOVED it...still do!!!
