I like vintage looks. I have a tacky gene that loves to mix prints. I have fun trying new things with my hair. I'm a bargain hunter and hardly ever buy an item full price. I love to sew, and feel pleased as punch when I wear something of my own design.

Myrna Loy
Hat: Vintage
Butterfly Ring: Gift from Hubby
Gold Filigree Teardrop Earrings and Necklace: Gift from Hubby
Tassel Necklace: Vintage
Pink Pearls (Necklace and Bracelet linked together): Gift from Friend
Blouse: Grandmother's
Palazzo Pants: Made by Me
Heels: Vintage
This outfit made me think of Myrna Loy from the moment I decided to sew the pants. I knew right away what blouse, shoes, and hat to wear. I wish my necklaces hadn't gone into hiding for these photos! Hubby gave the Butterfly ring to me at the hospital after our first son was born. He did the same with the filigree set after our second son was born. :o)

I LOVE these pants. I tried on the cutest vintage jumper this past weekend and I couldn't bring myself to get it, because I'm a little frugal... BUT this floral pattern reminds me of that jumper. You did such a fantastic job of sewing these!
ReplyDeleteI understand the "little frugal" part! :o) Thanks for the compliments...my head swells a little when a project comes out like I envisioned. :o)
DeleteThose pants are freaking cool!

DeleteOMG! You are so adorable! I love the post titled fruity-you look so 'springy'. The pants in this post are wonderful. They remind me of barkcloth (I adore barkcloth). Not sure how I stumbled upon your blog. I was blog hopping I guess. So nice to meet you.
