I like vintage looks. I have a tacky gene that loves to mix prints. I have fun trying new things with my hair. I'm a bargain hunter and hardly ever buy an item full price. I love to sew, and feel pleased as punch when I wear something of my own design.

Wearing Old and Older
Butterfly Earrings and Multi-strand Bracelet: Gifts from Hubby
Brooch and Blazer: Thrifted
Watch: Hubby's watch sized down
Dress: Macy's (clearance)
Navy Suede Heels: Gift from Mom
80s Blazer, meet 2013's Dress. Wait, are you sure you've never met before? You two are hitting it off like old friends!
I was pretty surprised how perfectly the Teal in the dress and blazer matched! It might have went to my head a bit. :o)
I used the same trick as last time (Here) of layering a skirt under the dress to give it a smidge more length. I even used houndstooth again. How weird that I have two skirts in the same print and colors! Usually I don't buy clothes very similar like that, but they have very different shapes so both keep passing my closet purges. One is a pencil skirt (Here), the other is flippy (Here).

Gypsy
Pink Hippo Ring: Plato's Closet
Gold Hoop Earrings: Gift from Hubby
Tassel Necklace: Thrifted
Belt: Local
Diane Freis Dress: Thrifted
Butterfly Boots: TJMaxx (old)
I thrifted another Diane Freis dress! Yay!!! I could have worn it as it was, but I decided to remove the rather large collar. I.Love.It!!! I forgot to take a "before" picture though...Sorry! I kept the collar to try to add it to a plain tee, maybe I can lay it on the dress and take a picture later. Maybe, ...if I get around to it! :o)
I just loved the tassels on the dress, so of course I had to wear my tassel necklace too! Because, you know, Two's company, Three's a crowd; Unless it's tassels...then it's a party!!!
My big guy got glasses! Isn't he adorable? I'm just a bit biased. :o) He is just a little near-sighted, so he doesn't need to wear them all the time. He just needs them for school to see the board at the front of the room.
Well, I can't ignore the dishes in the sink any longer...Bye!

Plaid, Plaid, Polka Dot, Plaid
Hubby took that one without me knowing :o)
Pearl Ring and Burberry Scarf: Gifts from Hubby
Coat: Thrifted
Top: TJMaxx
Belt: Local
Skirt: Thrifted
Boots: DSW (clearance)
Sorry it's been so long since I last posted! Right after my last post we aaaallll got sick for what seemed like forever. There was not much Dressing Up going on. I think our church was pretty sure we had moved away. :o)
I bought this skirt with the intention of shortening it. I still haven't gotten around to it, so I decided to wear it as is. I like it, but I still want to make it more of a midi length. I think it will give it more of a retro vibe.
